Dr. Alan Parks, Columbus Dermatologist and Eastside Founder
Dr. Alan J. Parks founded Eastside Dermatology & Skin Care Center and has served as its medical director since 1987. Dr. Parks is board certified in dermatology with clinical interests including cosmetic and surgical dermatology, laser treatments, BOTOX® Cosmetic, and skin cancer surgery.
A recipient of the American Academy of Dermatology Community Service Award for skin cancer screening and the Edmund D. Lowney Teaching Award for teaching dermatology residents, Dr. Parks was also the first physician to perform purely tumescent liposuction in Columbus, Ohio.
After graduating from the State University of New York – Downstate Medical School in 1983, Dr. Parks held an internship in internal medicine at Downstate Hospitals. In 1987, he completed his dermatology residency at The Ohio State University, where he served as chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Parks is a fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a member of the Ohio Dermatologic Association and the Central Ohio Dermatologic Society, where he has previously served as president.
Dr. Benjamin Bogucki, Dermatologist and Ohio Moh’s Surgery Specialist
Dr. Benjamin Bogucki is board certified in dermatology and is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery. His clinical interests include Mohs micrographic surgery, procedural dermatology, as well as general dermatology.
Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Bogucki sees patients of all ages in both our locations as a dermatologist in Hilliard and Columbus, and has completed additional training in cosmetic dermatology and laser medicine.
After completing his pre-medical studies at the University of Notre Dame, where he graduated summa cum laude, Dr. Bogucki attended medical school at The Ohio State University. While at Ohio State, he was elected to the national medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha.
He interned at Riverside Methodist Hospital, and then completed a dermatology residency at Washington University in St. Louis, where he served as chief resident. He is qualified as our specialist for Mohs surgery in Columbus after pursuing an additional year of fellowship training in Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology at Washington University.
Dr. Bogucki is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Sandra Walker, Licensed Columbus Esthetician on Staff
Sandra Walker is a Licensed Managing Esthetician at Eastside Dermatology in both our Columbus & Hillard locations. Working closely with physicians in skin care since 2002, Sandra worked as a Clinical Educator for the Midwest Region, training other Estheticians, LPNs and RNs on clinical and professional treatments related to skin health services.
Sandra’s experience also includes skin analysis, microdermabrasions, micropeels, cryotherapy treatments for acne, chemical peels as well as customized facials and make-up applications.
